plugins trying to use the wrong database (syslog)

Post by corch »

Ok I have something weird going on... cacti 0.8.7b w/ cacti-plugin-0.8.7b-PA-v2.1 ...

I have installed the syslog plugin and now some of my other plugins throw errors saying they couldnt find table syslog.foo, obviously they should be looking for cacti.foo, but I dont know why or where it is picking this up from... any ideas?

discovery: Table 'syslog.plugin_discover_hosts' doesn't exist
monitor: Table 'syslog.host' doesn't exist

OK, it seems to be spcifically to do with syslog-0.53, syslog-0.5.2 was working fine until I copied the files from the updated version into the plugin directory

Syslog 0.5.3 is not ready for release. It's an early alpha. So, my appologies. It should not have been posted on the Cacti Doc's site. I'm going to remove right away.
