Help needed, Cacti syslog plugin not showing any thing

Post by Nabeel »

Hi guys,

We have installed a new Cacti with everything up to date. Everything is running fine, but syslog plugin is not showing any syslog entry in the Web UI.

Configured the syslog-ng and it is working fine. Configured the sql db as per the following guide,

http://forums.cacti.net/about26040.html

There are syslogs getting entered into syslog_incoming table, but not showing.

Can anyone help ?

Please make sure that you are running Syslog 0.5.2 and not greater. Also, you need to modify the config.php in the Syslog plugin directory to point to the correct database. Please verify that that database has all of the correct information (aka it's getting data).

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
