how to get another link's information?

Post by taeels »

hi :)

i'm supposed to deploy a weather-map over my project group's network.

the network's topology is described in "q1.png"

i have no knowledge on linux and have no skills on network.

in this situation, i have no idea with "How can i deploy a weathermap by using cacti?"

first, i've installed cacti on my server and i found that it works well with local interface monitoring.

but my mission is gather all link's information that involved this network to one server.

in official site of "Network Weather Map", you could find some example maps that describing current information(bandwidth or traffic) of particular network.

As you know, the "Network Weather Map" supports a plug-in-implementation on cacti, and of course it uses .rrd file that generated by cacti's poller.

so i have a question about this :
how can i get another link's information?

the words "another link" means, not the link that connected with localhost but connected with other nodes.

my boss wants weathermap ASAP, but there's nothing i can do now.

please inform me if there's something documentation what can help me.

thank you :)
