ucd/net cpu usage - showing innaccurate (low) values

Post by aurfalien »

Hi,

I'm using the ucd/net cpu usage to graph CPU utilization.

While a remote host is pegging at 100% via top, my cacti graphs are showing

Its a dual quad core host with all 8 procs at nearly 100%.

Any ideas?

A pic is attached and at the time (14:40), top shows 100% and I know that thing was pegged, knarly render going on.

Might be IO/Wait. You should contact the Graph Templates author. Please clarify. I'm sure you should be focusing on asking this question of the Graph Templates author.

Thanks for the reply.

How do I find the author of this template?

This template came with my Cacti install.

Google, or where you downloaded it from.

Thats just it, it came with my Cacti install.

Atatched are 2 pics, cacti.png which shows its grapch and top.png which shows something very different - both from the same host, at the same time.

It could be that the USER CPU values are exceeding some MAX value. Check the MAX values in the Data Template and add a few 0's.
