Hi All,
I'm setting up cacti to monitor network performance etc on a medium scale network, for the most part this is all Mikrotik gear running routerOS. So far cacti is excellent!
One of the main things I was looking at doing is monitoring the clients under registration-table. I need to monitor the signal levels for each. Now, that's all OK there shouldn't be a problem setting that up with the templates found here,
http://forums.cacti.net/about25349.html ... t=mikrotik
But.. I'm just confused I think haha, Still trying to think of the best way to do this.
What i really need to setup is,
One graph that displays all clients connected to a specific interface (eg:wlan2)
Show the signal strength for each connected client, categorised by mac-address
Needs to be dynamic, so when new clients are connected they are added to the graph
Needs to hold data for a client once disconnected, but once the client reconnects it needs to link back to the mac address again and continue monitoring (incase of power cuts etc)
Just wondering if anyone out there has a setup like this or can maybe point me in the right direction to get started - Would be very much appreciated!
Thanks,
Chap

I see this as a plugin first, and then you can create graphs and reindex from the data provided by the plugin. Should not be too difficult for any of the existing plugin developers to take a whack at. It may be a bit more work for you though.
