too many plugins screen get horizontal scroll

Post by a2287884 »

I had installed and updated latest version of cacti and plugin arch
cacti Version 0.8.7e
PA Arch 2.5

i had also addedd required plugins and working fine but when i had added 15-20 plugins screen gets horizontal scroll which is getting to difficult to work.
can we limit the screen horizontal scroll or can we have double layered plugins icon

i had used complete windows installer/ pack which is on site i am facing problem with PHP-GD it is not enabled by default how should i enable it
i had tried different option provided like add/remove and add feature but then php stop working.

my hostinfo net-snmp show some long message i had tried several time fresh installation but failed.

if i tried some .xml or template it wont work then i thought i must remove it but there is no proper removal procedure mentioned any where for templates and graphs etc.

In monitor section alram sounds when we are on that page it must be running even if we are logged in but we cant also login cacti and watch the same page.

is there any way to merge previous version data to new installation like graph /device /setting in new fresh installation. we had misconfigured the setting and server stop responding. so we had made fresh installation but we are unable to get previous data

Download the php 5.2.9 installer, run it and install the additional options you want. The Cacti Windows installer only installs the pieces required for cacti, thus php-gd was not installed.

Follow the upgrade guide to backup cacti: http://www.cacti.net/downloads/docs/html/upgrade.html

I wrote one ages ago called Collapso, that let you have a second tier of plugin tabs, but it won't (and can't, as far as I can see) work with PA 2.x.

You might like to try Superlinks though. That has a mode where it tries to force all plugins (and Cacti) to use smaller tabs.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Also... Manage, Monitor, THold and Status all do very similar things. I don't think you really need Monitor if you have Manage, do you? (I don't use either, but Manage seems to do everything Monitor does).
