cmd.php returns Cannot find module (*-MIB)

Post by kaj@hih.dk »

Hi

Just installed latest Cacti on windows 2000, using IIS. It seems to work fine, but cmd.php returns the errors

Cannot find module (IP-MIB): At line 0 in (none)

and so on for 17 mibs.

Then it says:

'cat' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

It seems to work - can I just ignore these errors?

The install manual says to "Move all MIB files from c:\php\mibs to c:\usr\mibs." Do I need to configure something to point at these mibs?

The mibs should be copied to \usr\mibs on the drive where php is installed.

cat is a unix utility, it is not needed for cacti, but some of the scripts use it. There are versions of these for NT and they do come in handy. You can find them here

Hope it helps.

Already did that. I now also see that it says to do so in the php installation manual, but nothing about any configuration. Now that it seems to be a php issue, I looked at the php documentation and found:
It seams that the mibs dir (and content thereof) have to be located on every volume where a php file will be executed from.
at the first user submitted comment at http://dk2.php.net/manual/en/ref.snmp.php

Now the errors has gone.
