Monitor and graph SQUID Proxy Server using Cacti
Can someone please help me to set this up. I have cacti running and monitoring default stuff. I want to be able to monitor and graph my Squid Proxy Server using cacti. I also want to be able to store and graph history data. I don't want to use Squid Graph. Thanks
Squid monitor
Thanks Reinhard. I've seen the templates and scripts. How do I intergrate them into the Cacti drop down menus?
Hi
Hey sasja, i see you are from cape town, me too !
I have monitored squid from cacti before, with great success
you need to .. import the templates, etc. into cacti, then extend snmp for squid, like so ..
add to squid.conf (You need to enable snmp for squid, I use gentoo, so I added a USE flag in /etc/make.conf and recompiled squid)
hope this helps

Code: Select all
snmp_port 3401
acl snmppublic snmp_community YOUR_SNMP_COMMUNITY
acl ACL_NAME src IP_ADDRESS
snmp_access allow snmppublic ACL_NAME
snmp_access deny all
