Post by felipers »

Good morning,

Today my graphics cacti were in line with the IN and OUT square.
Attached an example.

What caused this? How to fix?

It's due to you zooming in. By default the data is only as granular as 5 min intervals. It's an rrdtool thing, not cacti.

If you know of an rrdtool graph command to smooth out the graph when the data displayed is that granular, let me us know...

lol. Sorry, I had to do that. I would also like to know if you find anything. Even with "slope mode" enabled, I have never seen a line graph smooth out properly when zoomed in that close.

Staff,

The graphs are being generated correctly until this day, has not changed anything in cacti, rrdtool or the operating system.
How can I fix it?

The answer from before has not changed.

This is an rrdtool thing and it cannot smooth out the data any more granular than its collected -- every 5 minutes.

That I understand,

But how do you get the 5 minutes?
Do not change anything in the configuration.

5 minutes is the default interval for rrdtool's rrd files that are created and the poller interval.
