Graph Data not appearing for ubuntu box

Post by freestylefish2006 »

Hi there,

My graphing is working for windows boxes - happily graphing processes/diskspace on a windows xp box.

My ubunut box doesn't seem to showing any data on the graphs. SNMP setup ok on the box and I can use snmpwalk from the server and query info.
Device looks ok returning community string and syscontact info.

.rrd files been created nicely, turn on graph debugging and everything says it's OK.

Anyone got any ideas.. I did notice in the technical support section that it say's im using the wrong .rrd tool.

It's likely you have the default snmpd.conf file in place. You need to research the configuration of this file a bit more. Depending on your net-snmp version, changing the config to a simple one line config like the following works fine for some (until you know what you are doing of course)

snmpd.conf
rocommunity public

sudo service snmpd restart

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
