Monitoring Buffalo Terastation Pro II

Post by Creatus »

Hi

For a while, I have been trying to monitor my Buffalo TeraStation II Pro. I know that there is some sort of Linux behind the system and there isn't snmp running. Now I'm thinking if there is a way to monitor disk space usage without SNMP? I know there's customized firmwares available which allows to access TeraStation's system(console), but customized firmware isn't an option in this case.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance!

Ok, solved it by myself. I just had to mount any TeraStation volume to my Cacti server via Samba. Then I just had to monitor new local host partitions. Now I can see disk space usage of each TeraStation.
