We're running Version 0.8.7a and I'm trying to create my first data-template. And thus follow the manual http://docs.cacti.net/manual:087:3_temp ... _templates.
Now I got stuck at section Applying Data Templates to Data Sources
The new template does not shows in the drop-down list for templates in the data-sources screen.
What am I missing?
Much appreciated. Searched the forums in vain for a solution...

What data input method are you using for your data template? A custom script or snmp?

You need to give the data source item a name. Uncheck the box too. You really don't want the DS name being changed either.
