Targetting SNMP oid

Post by trompette »

Hi guys,

I'm trying to target a specific oid from a node without any results.
Could someone explain me (with an example ) how i could do it plaese ?

tried this :

TARGET snmp:localhost:public:oid

Getif give me the right value but weathermap put UNKNOWN
Log say this :
target: snmp:localhost:public:1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.blablabla on config line 131 was not recognised as a valid TARGET [WMWARN08]
If somebody could tell me where is the problem ?

Thanks in advance.

You need to specify TWO oids - one for 'in' and one for 'out'.

If you don't really need the 'out' value, just duplicate the in oid.

So that's:

snmp:community:host:in_oid:out_oid

Just like it says in the manual ;-)
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)
