Stack graph from indexed SNMP

Post by ideje »

Can somebody explain how to build stack graph from snmp, wich has list of memory status (active, inactive, free etc), there indexes and values?

indexed snmp do excelent work when i want to make 1 graph for each indexed item. For example traffic by IP (in/out).

But when i try to make stack graph for memory use (active, inactive. free, cahe. etc , 100% at all) i have problem :-?, if i try do index by type (active, inactive ..) i get X graphs (each has one). When i try to define fields in xml, and use method get or walk, cacti try to append index to every field.

so if, i have in XML field <memActive> and OID which point to value exactly, cacti try to walk by append all indexes to the end of active oid.[/b]

That's indeed how Data Queries are designed. They are used for snmptables, not scalar data. Please see 1st link of my sig for more explanations.
If you want to aggregate data of different data sources, please consider the AGGREGATE plugin
