Poller windows

Post by spfister »

I've just recently installed Cacti. I'm hoping to use it on an intermittent basis to graph the results of SAA operations on our Cisco devices. At the moment, I've got everything running on my own workstation. I was thinking about leaving it installed and enabling it when needed for troubleshooting.

My question is... the poller opens up 3 or 4 windows when it runs. It's kind of distracting -- is there any way to get it not to open up windows when it runs? I guess I can find another machine to run it on, but I'm not sure how successful I'd be...

Thanks!

This is a commonly asked question with a simple solution.

Change the scheduled task so that it runs under an account that is not the one you've logged in with.

This account should have access to the devices you are polling, and also to WMI if you are using this.
Cacti Version 0.8.8b
Cacti OS Ubuntu LTS
RRDTool Version RRDTool 1.4.7
Poller Information
Type SPINE 0.8.8b
