DNS Server Response time

Post by tvirath »

Hi All,

I have issues with DNS server response time. I have templates from this site and imported into my Cacti server. Here the error message I kept getting:

SPINE: Poller[0] Host[1] ERROR: Empty result [127.0.0.1]: '/usr/bin/perl /cacti/www/html/scripts/dnsresponsetimeloop.pl -s 127.0.0.1 -h -t 5 -i 10 -r 10' Have anyone run into this type of issue before? I have Cacti 8.7d installed on Redhat Enterprise 5.x

Have a look in CONSOLE > DATA SOURCES > RRA. For each of the RRA archives, click on them and select LAST, then SAVE.

0.8.7d doesn't include the LAST Consolidation Function by default.

Let me know if this helps.

All you should be doing is adding, not changing ! Don't change any of the existing settings, just ADD LAST to each of the RRAs

Adding Last to RRA

Post by tvirath »

Adding Last to the the existing RRAs still gave me the following error:

ERROR: the RRD does not contain an RRA matching the chosen CF

You'll need to delete the graph and recreate it.
