manage: instable poll up/down/up/down

Hi,

cacti self displays the all hosts up and snmp communication works fine.
in manage-plugin I poll the uptime and unregularly some devices fail. after some polls the are "up" and next poll "down again. it is always the same device.
Any clue? how can I debug the manage-uptime polling process?

solved perhaps: firewall problem with natting - found after looking in the log file and not trusting our operating guys.....
