Weahermap update problem

Post by bencac »

I have many maps for my network. I use the cycle function to display it.
But one of my map doesn't appear at every cycle. This the map which is the most complexe . Sometimes my map ( the picture appears) but sometimes the picture is not display in the navigator.
Others maps are display every time

My map is too complexe ?
Perhaps I can change the picture type for the map from png to jpg

Do you have an idea ?

thanks

If you check with Cycle turned off, does the map actually get updated every poller cycle? (does the thumbnail show up, and does the time stamp in the map change?)

It's possible that php is running out of memory halfway though, sometimes. You would need to be very close to the edge of the memory_limit though. Every map after the big one would also fail to update in that situation. If it is that, then increase memory_limit in php.ini
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

If i shut down the automaticaly cycle, I have thumbnail with my 3 maps but I don't know if they are up to date and when I clicked on a thumbnails I have my map in full size but it doesn't up to date automatically ( perhaps it's normal ?)

My memory_limit is configured at 32 MB I change it for 64mb to test.

Perhaps my image background is so heavy if the memory_limit of php.ini doesbn't work I try to slim my map.
