Let me start out by saying that I'm loving mac track thus far.
However, is there a way to add the devices via cli? I have 700+ devices and it would nice to script them in from the cli.
Also, we run cisco voip phones all over the place and were wondering if it would be possible to generate an alert when a phone moves to a different port? This is due to the paranoia with e911.
Thanks in advance.

Hello charles,
I feel your pain with it being tough adding in all the devices via web client!
Other than that I can't lend you much help with that question. As far as your second though, you may want to look into the end-device tracking addon. However... you should be able to see what port the phones are on already if you have MAC track running? It tells ip,mac, vendor, and port of device if I'm not mistaken... what else are you looking for? You can use the mac watch tool to follow where each phone goes and set it up to e-mail you when it does make a move.
Hope this helps.

You simply need a CSV file with the correct format. Device types is the same, but I would like to do an auto detect new types at some point to make it easier.
When in mactrack devices, look for the import button.
Ip phones can be a PITA due to how they bridge to the network.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
