Multiple Value Data Input Methods

Post by jaskel »

I have created a data input method that has 10 different outputs:

key_1:value key_2:value key_3:value etc...

I have created a data template that referenced all 10 outputs and I have created a graph template that references the data sources.

Here is the script output in the log:
02/19/2009 05:50:41 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[35] DS[729] CMD: perl /var/www/cacti/resource/script_queries/get_multi_as.pl, output: as_data_7132:1324908454 as_data_19262:904424767 as_data_209:523201479 as_data_20057:611896025 as_data_22773:618070066 as_data_6389:406255394 as_data_7018:192588787 as_data_20115:476298848 as_data_4323:96985327 as_data_701:106606044

Sadly, only _ONE_ (the first item in the graph template) seems to be graphing. All the other values are '0.00'....

I am using 0.8.7b for this. I followed the documents (AFAIK) to the letter on how to do this. Any thoughts?

I too am having the very exact same problem as this.

I have one large line of output, and I have about 10 differnt data templates that's used to gather this data.

It appears on my end, that it tries to re run the script, but it leaves out my <hostname> variable, and I haven't figured out a way to fix it yet.

Yeah, I had to do something a little lame. I created an input method that can take a single argument, then I created separate data templates for each input, and added in the custom input value. Then I created a graph template that references each data source (from the data template), and now I have a graph with the 10 elements that I need. It's a little silly and probably isn't a good solution for everyone (or most people at any rate), but it works.
