Help graphing CDEF only, not data sources

Post by hitman6003 »

I have a CDEF that divides two DEFs:

Code: Select all

CDEF=a,b,/
I want to create a graph where only the result of the CDEF is displayed, the two data sources ("a" and "b") are not visible/not graphed.

I think I have it working, but I'm not sure if it's correct. When I created the graph I added the two data sources but did not select a GRAPH ITEM TYPE that is displayed (they are currently "COMMENT"). I have then added another item to the graph with no data source, applied the CDEF to it, and a display-able ITEM TYPE (e.g. "line1").

This seems very...unclean?...and not correct at all. Is there a better, correct, way of doing this?

Is there another template/script/graph that would be doing this that I can look at as an example?

Thank you for your help.

Add data source a and b, respectively. Associate a CDEF=CURRENT_DATA_SOURCE,0,* to both of them to make them invisible. The rest is proceeded as usual
