Using Cacti and the RRD files from NTOP problem....

Post by fishslice »

Ntop is working and outputting loads of info into
rrd files in the directory "/var/lib/ntop/rrd/interfaces".

cacti is working as its graphing CPU, memory, my snmp router etc etc.

So I setup a new datasource called ipBytes pointing to /var/lib/ntop/rrd/interfaces/eth0/ipBytes.rrd with no Data input (doesn't need a script as ntop is writing the rrd file directly).
I setup the graph using the ipBytes datasource, setup the graph hierachy to display it.

The problem is that cacti just refuses to display a graph for me :-(
the RRD file is there, is updating, and has the correct permissions, but cacti just isn't reading it :-(

have I missed anything obvious ?

Cheers
Si
