Migrating to new server

Post by Cptn »

Ok, so we we're presently running the EZ version of Cacti (CactiEZ) on a computer in my office. I now have a server, which I will put in the server room where it belongs, on to which I am trying to move Cacti.

However, I'm having a devil of a time figuring what all data need to be moved to the new server so it can just pick up where the present production box is at the time of the migration.

I'm really hoping someone else has done this and can tell me what all needs to be moved.

Remember, this is CactiEZ on a CentOS based linux box. I'm not sure how that compares to a straight install of Cacti on Linux or UNIX but I suspect the structure should be close.

TIA

Already done and posted several times.
You need the mysqldump of the cacti database and all rrd files. Of course, the code too
