Multiple Ping Latency Graphs On One

Post by centorrinotech »

I currently run Cacti 0.8.7b on Linux and am wondering whether it is possible to plot multiple ping latency graphs on the one graph. For example if im pinging 5 websites, i currently have cacti graphing each website on its own graph, however now i would like to create a summary graph with all of them on the one graph.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Yes, this is possible. I am graphing ping latency of 2 different IP's on one graph.

The way I did it may not be the most elegant, but it works. I created a new data template (derived from the "Unix - Ping Host" template) and hard-coded the ip for the next hop. I then created a new graph template using the "Unix - Ping Host" data source and my custom data source. In this way I get both pings on the same graph.

This graph is of pings to the local ip of this router and also to the next-hop.

You may want to consider the AGGREGATE plugin.
