Post by Marco C »

Hello to all,

Can someone tell me when the new version of cacti ( 0.8.8 ) is going to be released?
This new version is going to be databased independent? Is going to support Oracle?

All the reply will be appreciate.

Thanks in advanced,

Marco C.

Recently updated.

Multiple database support will not be in 0.8.8. Multiple database support, or I should say, more than just mySQL support will only occur when Spine can support multiple databases as well. We have other features that are more important to complete before multiple database support is implemented.

Any update on a release date (or month even) for 0.8.8? The roadmap states Q4 of this year which we are currently in the middle of. I'm about to upgrade to a new hardware platform, and if 0.8.8 is around the corner it only makes sense to hold off and make changes just the once. Thanks in advance!!!

Much of the "hard" work to complete depends on me. My plans are not to start up and complete my tasks until sometime in mid December (my Vacation you know). So, we are behind schedule. However, we have at least three more senior developers now and that have been taking over major sections of the code.
