hi - im pretty new with cacti
i had recently installed groundwork monitor
and i followed instructions and installed cacti under groundwork. .86k - i already had .86j installed on another machine connecting to an sql db on a different server.
aftre installing cacti in groundwork - i connected it to the same mysql db that .86j was connecting to
after i completed the installation / upgrade - my previous and new versions of cacti do not show any graphs - just crosses
is there any way i can get my original cacti back to graphing performance
is there any recovery or backup? is the problem with cacti or the mysql db - or do i have to start from scratch????
any help would be greatly appreciated

Did you copy the rrd files across to your GW server? That's where the actual performance data is...
Also, you might need to go into the Settings..Paths and change the paths in there to match your new server (for rrdtool etc).
Hopefully cacti itself would have detected it's an upgrade and done any database schema changes (it would have told you).
Otherwise, you should be able to restore from a backup of the database, and carry on using the old cacti server.

Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
