I have Cacti monitoring 3 routers and 1 server using ICMP ping. I am able to receive email on down state. I would like to know a way for Cacti to call a telephone number using a dial up modem on down state. Playing a recording would be a nice plus as well.
The THOLD plugin would be the way to go. AFAIK, it does support EMail, but that's it. Feel free to add new methods (e.g. call a script that does funny things like SMS or sending MP3 files to users ...)
