Password error while adding device

For some reason when I try to add a device (specifically a Linux template) I get an error:

Code: Select all

Error: Passwords do not match, please retype.

I don't understand why as there are no fields asking for a password.

Nevermind, minor bug.

Even if you have SNMP version set to "None" the form is still submitting the hidden fields. So if you don't have the password twice there it will give you this error.

Hi,

By experiences, I used to met problem like you before. It can cause from:

- you choose remembered password for login
- you choose the version of SNMP in Settings Tab wrong

Solution:

- you can clear all offline file, cookies, and caches in you browser and start log in again
- try to change the password of the user that you use to log in into Cacti in Mysql Database
