APC AP3940 Eniormental Monitors and expansion modules

Post by nellson »

Looking for help with the AP3940 Main module and expansion module sets.

Each have 6 temp/humidity inputs and you can chain togeher several expansion modules.

An SNMP walk seems to have data located:

Code: Select all

.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.4.2.3.1.X.module.sensor
 X                             3 = STRING: Sensor Name
                                4 = STRING: Sensor Location
                                5 = INTEGER: Temp
                                6 = INTEGER: Humidity (-1 = not supported)
So where I have one Management module and one expansion module, with a temp probe in the first port of the MM, and a Temp/Hum probe in port 2 of the MM, and a temp probe in port 1 of the expansion module. I got this:

Code: Select all

.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.4.2.3.1.3.0.1 = STRING: "Temp Sensor MM:1"
.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.4.2.3.1.3.0.2 = STRING: "Temp Sensor MM:2"
.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.4.2.3.1.3.1.1 = STRING: "Temp Sensor TH01:1"
.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.4.2.3.1.4.0.1 = STRING: "C11 Cold Isle Floor"
.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.4.2.3.1.4.0.2 = STRING: "C11 Hot Isle Top "
.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.4.2.3.1.4.1.1 = STRING: "C15 Hot Isle Inside"
.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.4.2.3.1.5.0.1 = INTEGER: 69
.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.4.2.3.1.5.0.2 = INTEGER: 72
.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.4.2.3.1.5.1.1 = INTEGER: 77
.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.4.2.3.1.6.0.1 = INTEGER: -1
.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.4.2.3.1.6.0.2 = INTEGER: 23
.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.4.2.3.1.6.1.1 = INTEGER: -1
I was hoping to figure out how to build a device template that would walk the APC Hardware MIB and display all found ports (like a router does on interfaces)

Has anyone done anything like this?
