Not sure if anyone has seen this, but when I upgrade from 0.8.6j to 0.8.7b by means of an RPM upgrade (RPMs supplied by Dag Wieers), I get a few data input methods missing from the GUI. The data_input table in mysql doesn't appear to have changed or become corrupted, but all associated data gathering does not work properly. The data input methods of concern are Get SNMP Data, Get SNMP Data (Indexed), Get Script Data (Indexed), and Get Script Server Data (Indexed), so a number of my SNMP-related graphs show up blank after the upgrade. Any thoughts? Also, the problem appears when upgrading from 0.8.6j to 0.8.7a as well. Thanks for any help.
Just completed it and have the same issue. Also, Dag is one of the best resources for RHEL, CentOS, and Fedora packages, and an active member of the CentOS project. We currently use CentOS 4.5.
Okay. I was able to get a couple of the erring graphs to work. The templates just needed to be re-imported to work post-upgrade. The last one is erring still, but appears to be due the the script not returning the required information, which is depends on the availability of information stored in the cacti database that's missing after the upgrade. The information it seeks is the field_value where field_name=hrStorageAllocationUnits in the host_snmp_cache table. Prior to the upgrade, the table contains 53 rows for a host that is erring post-upgrade, while after it contains 26 rows. The rows it's missing are all where field_name=hrStorageAllocationUnits or hrStorageDescr. Any thoughts on how this would happen?
