[solved] ubuntu 8.10 upgrade broke my cacti

Post by westcoastirl »

so i upgraded my ubuntu server to 8.10 . this broke cacti so i had to reinstall it. Anyway, i got most of my graphs working again except for my interface logging for my ddwrt linksys.

snmpwalk works giving me all the usual response.

i set it up as a 'generic snmp enabled host' as usual. then use the 'snmp-interface statistics' query. clicking 'verbose query' gives me all the usual response.

ive tryed using snmp v1 & v2 but i keep getting nothing up on graph.

the log file gives this:

CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[4] DS[12] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result:

my info is:

Cacti Version 0.8.7b
Cacti OS unix
SNMP Version net-snmp
RRDTool Version RRDTool 1.2.x

anyone have any ideas?

The failing OIDs belong to 64bit COUNTERs. This is not supported by each and every target but required SNMPv2c as a must.
Verify that your target supports 64bit COUNTERs, else switch to 32bit counters (using teh "normal" traffic graphs)
