Can't integrated PHP to work with CACTI on CentOS.

Post by Pummy »

Dear Guys...!!

I need some help.
I used CentOS 5.2 (Final) and installed Cacti to my system.
It's fresh OS , but after I follow the installation guide from cacti's web.
when finish every step. and restart every related service by restart server.
After open http://localhost/cacti/ the browser shown me blank page without any anything.

It's correct url coz i configured every step by following the document.
and when I forced to direct to the file by -> http://localhost/cacti/index.php
I got the result same as before (blank page , not 404 error message)

I try this link -> http://localhost/cacti/poller.php
But got the message "This script is only meant to run at the command line."

In my idea I think I had installed cacti into the correct directory and another component (mysql) too. but I think I have a problem to config the php on the system.

Is anyone have some idea to help me?
If it possible , you can give me the direction to re-install cacti to my system again (delete everything event the database).

And necessary things...!!
How to fix or change some configuration about PHP?

I'm novice in Linux , low experience.

Some RPM in my system.
net-snmp-devel-5.3.1-24.el5_2.1
net-snmp-5.3.1-24.el5_2.1
mysql-devel-5.0.45-7.el5
cacti-0.8.7a-1.fc6 (when i used yum to install cacti, no provided package, so i've config yum to access to fc6 folder)
crontabs-1.10-8
httpd-2.2.3-11.el5_1.centos.3
openssh-4.3p2-26.el5
mysql-5.0.45-7.el5
php-cli-5.1.6-20.el5_2.1
php-snmp-5.1.6-20.el5_2.1
php-mysql-5.1.6-20.el5_2.1
mysql-server-5.0.45-7.el5
rrdtool-1.2.23-6.fc6
net-snmp-libs-5.3.1-24.el5
php-pdo-5.1.6-20.el5_2.1
php-5.1.6-20.el5_2.1

Please help.
Thanks

I am also having this same problem.

I followed http://www.server-world.info/en/note?os=ce5&p=cacti setup after trying the cacti and still unable to connect using localhost/cacti

Double check everything on that site I posted earlier.
Then restart httpd. And try to connect to "http://localhost/cacti/" (no "")

The trailing / it was was denying me access to finish the install.

Inside "/etc/httpd/conf.d/cacti.conf" line 2 <Directory /var/www/cacti/> the cacti/ is killing me
