any plug-in to graph the utilization of a linux process?

i would like to graph the % utilization of a linux process. is this possible with cacti?

Sure, if you manage to create a script spitting out exactly this value :wink:
To be honest, please review the HOST MIB and see, if it helps

This HOST MIB will do it, but the primary key would be something other than PID, and if there are multiple of the process, the question becomes which one's are you going to monitor and how.

In either case, it's a pretty expensive operation, unfortunately. Some other tiered process grabbing would be ideal, one that run's independently of the poller and stores the process tree of each host in the Cacti database. Then, your poller could go after the processes in question.
