deian & snmp error

Post by rsuinux »

Hello All,
sorry for my english
Y used cacti debian pacage (version: 0.8.6i-3.), and snmp.
Snmp work fine:

Code: Select all

# snmpwalk -OX -c public -v 2c localhost .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1
  IF-MIB::ifIndex[1] = INTEGER: 1
  IF-MIB::ifIndex[2] = INTEGER: 2
  IF-MIB::ifIndex[3] = INTEGER: 3
  IF-MIB::ifIndex[4] = INTEGER: 4
  IF-MIB::ifIndex[6] = INTEGER: 6
  IF-MIB::ifIndex[8] = INTEGER: 8
with the config:

Code: Select all

com2sec local   localhost public
com2sec localNet 192.168.0.0 /16 public

####
# Second, map the security names into group names:

#               sec.model  sec.name
group MyROSystem v1 local
group MyROSystem v2c local
group MyROSystem usm local
group MyROGroup v1 localnet
group MyROGroup v2c localnet
group MyROGroup usm localnet
group MyRWGroup v1 local
group MyRWGroup v2c local
group MyRWGroup usm local
but, in cacti, the hostname for the device is 192.168.3.1 and this response is very surprising:

Code: Select all

The question is: why this query don't work?

Thank's.

More than likely you snmpd.conf is incorrect. The "easy", I don't want to learn net-snmp configuration, configuration is the following:

Code: Select all

rocommunity public
