The clue is in the log file from Cacti. You need to enable socket support in php.
Have a look in your php.ini file, and remove the ";" from php_sockets. Pinging from within Cacti requires this.

graphs not displaying sub titles.
Hi Mate another thing even though my graph shows me data but it does not actually shows my titles. I have already read through all the forums to see if something helps but no success as yet.
Interesting thing it is not showing me any error, is there a way i can generate or debug the graph so i can get it to generate a error.
Please see the attached screenshot and assist.

Can you change the TCP ping to ICMP or UDP via SNMP ? What devices are you polling ? If they are firewalls, its likely that PING has been denied.
I can't see the screenshot, as I'm using a Blackberry. However, if you can't see any titles, check the FONT path in settings. This is likely to be where your issue lies.

Hi mate do you think new version of rrdtool is causing the issue. As we also have another server which is old version of rrdtool and it works fine with same settings....
Note: the server which has old version of rrdtool, i can easily add graph templates and it displays my graph... so basically that leaves me clueless on this new server..i can not see any error logs either

1) Why use batch files for memory when there are already scripts which use snmp, wmi, etc?
2) If you don't want to use tcp pings, why not switch cacti to use udp instead? Your logs show its using TCP.
3) If you think the rrdtool version might be a problem, I'd suggest using rrdtool 1.2.26 W32 build (not cygwin anymore) or better. I suppose you could try using the old version from the old server too if you wanted.
4) In cacti's devices, does any show as up?

Apologise was out of town....
OK now i have changed all the versions similar to the server i know where everything works fine...
Apache httpd 2.055
MySQL 5.0.37
PHP 5.1.2
RRDTool 1.2.12 (win32 version)
Cacti 0.8.7
Now i can see the fonts on the graph but i cannot see any data instead i see -1#j which to me it refers that the numbers are real small or something any ideas.....
Earlier my graphs where displaying data but not the fonts...but now its vice-versa...
reason i use scripts to collect info is because that is the way the syetem has beeen designed in this enviournment.... like i said before it works fine on one of the server....

1) I recommend you update the version you're using. The latest PHP, cacti 0.8.7b, and RRDTool 1.2.12 Win32 does NOT work with cacti. You must use 1.2.15 or later for the Win32 build -- otherwise you must use the Cygwin builds.
2) Have you put cacti in debugging logging mode, waiting for a polling cycle and then looked through it? Does cacti receive data from the device? Does 'rrdtool update' run?
