Device rediscover? Routed VLANs and blade additions on 6500

Post by giggudy »

Hi,

I frequently augment my 6500s with new blades and occasionally add routed VLANs that I would like to monitor.

When I first add the device Cacti discovers everything that is currently there. However, I can seem to get Cacti to rediscover and find any new interfaces.

Is there a way to do this without deleting the device?

Thanks in advance.

Go to the switch in the Devices section, and click on the little green circle next to the data query. It will rescan your switch for new interfaces.

No, it's not really intuitive.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)
