snmp v3 errors

i have cacti running on a linux server, trying to get snmp data from a cisco router.

i have enabled snmp v3 on the router and can perform queries using snmpwalk and snmpget from the cacti box manually.

when i try to enter the information into cacti, i get SNMP Error every time. ive turned the logging up to debug but cant see anything useful in the logs (either i dont know what im looking for or its not showing up there).

if anyone could give me a push in the right direction, id greatly appreciate it.

Are you using snmp context? ARe you running spine?
