Graphing by groups

Post by phakesley »

We spend a lot of time on graph maintenance as we move devices around and I would love to see a automtic add to a graph based on device group name. example: I have a graph showing all power strips allocated to a customer and create a group called power_custX. When I created a new PDU device I allocate it to group power_custX. In the background the graph showing the totals or total for this custX is no updated to have the new PDU within it as a data source. Obviously this might work well for any type of group allocated to a graph type and device group type.

? Thoughts

Regards,

Pete

I'd have to check the roadmap, but user groups are coming in 0.8.8 (alpha at the end of 2008). After user groups are in, other grouping will come (host, graph, tree, etc)
