graphs not displaying after rrd 1.2.x

Post by gsr8055 »

HI

I have installed cacti 0.8.7b on RHEL 3, during installation installed rrdtool 1.0.x and the graphs were not clear, so i installed rrdtool 1.2.x after that graph is not displayed.

Can anybody help me.

Thank you

I had a similar problem that was resolved by restarting apache.

Check the version of RRDtool configured under Settings->General->RRDTool Utility Version.

check out Graph debug mode.

If you select a graph, and then run it in debug mode it will tell you what the output of rrdtool will be. If it generates an error you will see that.

In my case, I think the upgrade process messed up all my .rdd names! I get an error for almost all my graph, where it can not find the .rrdfile. I hadhyphens in the devicename, which is now gone in the .rrd filename!!

so, a name called gb-dun-router1_interface2.rrd is now called gbdunrouter1_interface2.rrd, and the grapher cant find it. I dont know if I am getting data into it yet, ill have to check.

just my $0.02, good luck.
