unexpected T_STATIC [closed]

hi,

i was forced to perform a security upgrade and with this, also apache and php5 were updated. since then, cacti stopped graphing. I found out, that the problem is, that the poller is not running. to be specific, it tries to run the poller, but ends up with following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /usr/share/php/adodb/adodb.inc.php on line 430

does anybody know how to solve this? many thanks,

uuups... sry, just found this answer from reinhard

Cacti requires use of it's own adodb that's packaged with cacti. We are currently not able to support the debian way. You may want to use the code provided by the cacti tar.gz
