I have an otherwise fine functioning Cacti setup, but i recently configured it to export some graphs to a intranet page. The graphs export but there is no text on them, just the actual graph.
This is only on the exported images. If I am logged in the graphs are fine.

Check to see that your compiled RRDtool includes a default font. If not, check to see that the Cacti Interface (Settings->Visual) does. If it does and the rrdtool binary does not, we need to know about it as it's a bug.

since i am using the package provided via apt i am not able to look in the config for my default font.
there is no font set in settings->visual
something to note : occasionally one of the graphs will export correctly. so on the page of daily/weekly/monthly/yearly graphs only one of them will have text.
