summation different interfaces ?

Post by pvegdom »

Hi all ,

i use cacti very simple , i have a oid that i interogate 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.3 ifInOctets index 3 the next is 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.48 ifInOctets index 48 and the last : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.49 ifInOctets index 49 . so far so good => i put them on one graph template and i can see a Cable modem ( channel bonding ) .But i would also like to see the sum of these 3 values , the current summation options i found is mostly for data over one interface in time . Any ( easy ) sollution would be welcome ( in mrtg is was like a + between the different OID's )

Cheers

First thank you for replying , and thank you for the great work you deliver .

but i am not so known in cacti stuff , i founded how to create new CDEF and where the "SIMILAR_DATA_SOURCES_NODUPS" dropdown is ( Special Data Source ) , but i don't have any idea how to create the CDEF ? what options must be in ?. Can i ask you to just point out the way to folow to create a pseudo-CDEF "SIMILAR_DATA_SOURCES_NODUPS" ?

Please see attached CDEF tuto. It will be part of the new documentation. The COUNT_* stuff is not yet available for 087b
