Error creating graph

Post by Teemu »

I installed cacti succesfully with not problems ot fedora 7. Cacti version was installed from yum repo (cacti-0.8.7b-1.fc7). I made my own script and it's chmoded to 777. And I can see from /var/log/cacti/cacti.log that it's working fine. When I try to create graph for that I just get error:
RRDTool Says:
ERROR: opening '/usr/share/cacti/rra/data_humi_keittio_30.rrd': No such file or directory

And from cacti.log:

05/22/2008 05:00:03 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Time: 0.6131 s, Theads: N/A, Hosts: 2
05/22/2008 05:00:03 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] ERROR: There are no RRA's assigned to local_data_id: 30.
05/22/2008 05:00:03 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time:1.2113 Method:cmd.php Processes:1 Threads:N/A Hosts:3 HostsPerProcess:3 DataSources:31 RRDsProcessed:23
05/22/2008 05:02:42 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] ERROR: SQL Assoc Failed!, Error:'1064', SQL:"select id,column_name from graph_template_input where graph_template_id="

Any help? I have installed Cacti to four different comps with similiar linux distro (fedora 7/8) with same errors and problems. Also installed all patches.

Under your data template does it have one or more RRA's selected?

Under those selected RRA's in Data Sources -> RRAs do they have all the Consolidation functions you are using selected?

I managed to get Cacti make those rrd-files and to make graphs.
The way I did graphs was:
1. new data imput method
2. new data template
3. new graph template
4. added new graph template to device from devices Associated Graph Templates
5. "Create Graphs for this Host" and click and Create.

I dont know if that's the only way to create graphs in Cacti but it worked on me.
