CLI or automated way to apply thresholds

I am primarily using the CLI to add devices, create graphs and place on the tree, but there is one thing I have not figured out how to automate - apply thresholds. I have to login to the interface, identify devices and select Apply Thresholds. Is there a way that I can automatically apply thresholds to devices or apply thresholds from the CLI?
