Plugin Management in PA 2.1

Post by xefil »

Hi to all!

I've just upgraded my cacti server from 0.8.7a to 0.8.7b including Plugin Architecture 2.1.

Followed the steps and all works fine, included my installed plugins:

<...>
$plugins = array();
$plugins[] = 'aggregate';
$plugins[] = 'mactrack';
$plugins[] = 'superlinks';
$plugins[] = 'killspike';
$plugins[] = 'reportit';
$plugins[] = 'thold';
$plugins[] = 'settings';
$plugins[] = 'tools';
$plugins[] = 'reports';
<...>

I've enabled the Plugin Management and have the new TAB.
My question is:

Why in "Plugin Management" I can see only these?
- Cacti
- Plugin Architecture
- Aggregate

Cannot manage the other plugins with Plugin Management?

And why there is a "Last Scanned" set to : Never at the end of the "Plugin Management" page?

Thank's!

I suppose this is due to the fact, that not all plugins currently support the new PIA 2.x installation scheme. But some of those listed should do by now. Please verify to use the latest versions (e.g. thold should be PIA2.x aware)

I am having the same problem. I just upgraded my Cacti to 087b with PIA 2.1 and only RRDClean shows up under Plugin Management. I have the most recent version of Thold from the SVN and it isnt showing up.

Did i miss a step in the setup?

I lately came across some issues of this kind with PIA 2.1. I did not solve them yet. And unfortunalety, I'm already on PIA 2.2 beta.
A known issue occurs when creating a plugins directory that includes a slash. At least I had errors when savin an old version like "rrdclean" and "rrdclean-031". Removing the last one solved it.

I have also the "last scanned :never" problem with Cacti 0.8.7b and PA 2.1.

Same issue with PA 2.1:
Only rrdclean pluggin appears in console options, settings or other "Tab" pluggins never appear. Not seen in Realms for admin user.
I have also the "last scanned :never" problem with Cacti 0.8.7b and PA 2.1.
Brand new install on OpenSUSE 11.0

Thanks, in advance

I am having similar issues. I have installed
  • reportit
    mactrack
    tools
    weathermap
and none of them show up under Plugin Management. The screen also shows 'last scanned: never'

The current version of ReportIt does not support the new features of PIA 2. Not yet! :wink:
