[SOLVED] visual quality of graphs

Post by amhebus »

Hi all.
i upgraded my cacti 0.8.6g to cacti 0.8.7b.
All is done and it works  .
But i have just one problem: the visual quality of the graph:

Version 0.8.6g:
Image

Version 0.8.7b:
Image

Unfortunately, my boss prefers the aliasing of the old version
How can I

Configuration:
Version 0.8.6g: RH 7.3

Version 0.8.7b: RHAS5
PS: no customization made, all is default.

If somebody has an idea :D Thx for your help.

You refer to the legend? Please use a condensed monospaced font for the legends. Then, edit the Traffic Graph Template, select the last Graph Item and check the <HR> checkbox

Thank you for your answer. I don't refer to the legend but the Image/PNG Graph.
you see, on the version 0.8.6, there is an aliasing on the courbs and on the version 0.8.7, it's antialiased. My network admin thinks that it's better for the visibility when it's aliased :(
I'll test that you said.

THX a lot.
PS: Excuse for my english, i'm a french :p

I think older version of rrdtool is responsible for this situation. Suppose u use it on 0.8.6 installation.

That's governed by "slope-mode". With Cacti 087b, you may deactivate slope-mode on a by Graph Template basis.
