PHPSVR: Poller[0] ERROR: Input Expected, Script Server Termi

Post by atrias »

I had cmd.php poller and everything worked ok (but not fast enough)
I needed 1 minute polling so i switched to spine

after switching to spine all my graphs that were created from "Data Queries" do not work

once i associate a data query with a device i get the following error in Cacti Log File

"PHPSVR: Poller[0] ERROR: Input Expected, Script Server Terminating"

the data query seems to work ok (finds all the interfaces with names, etc) but nothing works from there on...

i get the error above even without creating graphs from these data queries
just by associating the "SNMP - Interface Statistics" with a cisco device

all other graphs work ok with spine (advanced ping, cisco cpu usage, snmp generic oid template, unix load, logged users, etc)

with cmd.php everything worked fine (including graphs)

any help would be appreciated

thnk u

i have cacti 0.8.7b, spine 0.8.7a-1, centos 5.1

Adding support for SNMP V3 broke some Data Queries. So please name those you're using and make sure to use the latest version of those (both XML and scripts must be up-to-date)

update!

i got the interface.xml from /cacti/branches/main/resource/snmp_queries from the svn

the problem still persists

i believe though that i already had the last version of this file
my original file had date "Feb 12"

do i need to update anything else for "SNMP - Interface Statistics" data query to work?

update 2!

well it seems that none of the data queries work
every data query when added to a device causes the problem

so it must be something general used for all queries and not something that is specific to a signle query

any ideas???

i also updated the "data_queries.php" file to the latest version but this did not fix the problem..

any other ideas???

04/16/2008 11:59:02 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] DEBUG: SQL:'UPDATE host SET status='3', status_event_count='0', status_fail_date='2008-04-09 20:37:00', status_rec_date='2008-02-24 17:03:00', status_last_error='ICMP: Ping timed out', min_time='0.004880', max_time='1882.591960', cur_time='4.598860', avg_time='2.491061', total_polls='101301', failed_polls='6', availability='99.9941' WHERE id='105''

sorry the above was from an advanced ping polling

would this help instead?
04/17/2008 09:56:04 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[110] RECACHE: Processing 1 items in the auto reindex cache for '192.168.1.1'

04/17/2008 09:56:04 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] DEBUG: SQL:'UPDATE host SET status='3', status_event_count='0', status_fail_date='2008-04-17 08:57:00', status_rec_date='2008-04-17 09:53:00', status_last_error='Host did not respond to SNMP', min_time='9.999990', max_time='1025.660040', cur_time='25.057080', avg_time='37.160069', total_polls='1308', failed_polls='150', availability='88.5321' WHERE id='110''
04/17/2008 09:56:04 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[110] SNMP Result: Host responded to SNMP
it seems that there is a problem with snmp

but first it says that the host responded and then that it does not respond

i also get correct listing of interfaces and correct snmp information on the device page
SNMP Information
System: Cisco IOS Software, 2800 Software
anyone??

Your interpretation is not correct. The update statement only says, that the last error that occured was an error on snmp not responding. It does not say, that the error occured during this polling cycle. It's a bit weird, yes, I know

Pleae tell us how it was solved. Because we're currently facing some weird spine problems and your statement may help to solve it
