Thold is not triggering

Post by mannyz »

Hi I'm running a fresh install of Cacti 0.7.8b + thold plugin.

I've configured all my threshold and then I realised that no warning was triggered when the limit was exceeded.

Specifically what I have noticed is that the current usage in bits have something wrong. On the graph the bw usage is nearly 37Mb/s while thold is showing 3718881.2133 bit/s = 3.7189 Mb/s.

Can anybody shed any light on this ?

Cheers,
Mannyz

The raw values from SNMP are actually byte counters, so you either need to specify your threshold in bytes/sec too, or use the CDEF option "Bytes to Bits".
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Yea, that's why adding a 0 was making my math comes right.

Thanks a lot.
