Reading IP pool used

Post by shanz »

Hi,
we need to know the number of IPs connected (used) from the routers. How can we configure cacti to fetch this information? we need to see it for montly and yearly. This will allow us to assign more IP subnet class depending on this Graph.
Can anybody help me out on this?

Is there any OID for that device that reports the number? Or any command, that creates a list of items you may want to count? In both cases, please see first link of my sig to learn how to create own scripts and stuff

I got it working in cricket using the following info
OID usedip 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.326.1.2.2.1.2.0
OID freeip 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.326.1.2.2.1.1.0
I will check the docs to find the way to add these OIDs to generate graph in cacti.
Also, How can I add or sum up the multiple graphs to get aggregate ?

For creating a graph for those OIDs, please see first link of my sig, Chapter on Creating an own OID bases Graph.
For aggregating, please see my AGGREGATE plugin
