Hello,
I'm searching a solution to send individuals alerts (thold) only of UP/DOWN states of the servers. But I only have a option to send extra emails if create a new graph which, in this case is useless for me.
My global email list already have address of network people (switches) equipaments and support people (servers) don't have permission to receive alerts from switches, only servers.
I using the version 0.3.3 of thold, maybe in new versions have the solution, if someone known about this...
Cacti - 0.8.7a
Thold - 0.3.3 (too old, I know, but can't change for "some" reasons).
Individual alerts UP/DOWN

Well you can also Thold aginst just a data source..
As well as you can set each person up as a user and or each thrshold can be configured to be able within itself to send to a list of emails..

I don't have data sources of servers, because I don't need them, only UP/DOWN states. Cacti have around of 300 switches already configured, change a extra email list of each is a lot of work to do. Maybe creating one threshold template? I don't know how to start it!

You will have to create a graph for your interfaces that you want to thold up or down.. There are several posts on how to do that.. I think like cisco interface status ... ( Will work on most switch vendors.)
Than you can select the switch and click create automatic it will create them for you ... You can update the template for interfaces witht eh email you want to have it sent to.
